The Volkswagen CC, which debuted back in 2008, has a pleasing blend of style, refinement, and performance, offering an entry-level luxury car at a price that is much lower than the marque luxury brands. The production of the CC ended in 2017. However, Volkswagen has a replacement for the CC — the 2019 Volkswagen Arteon, which will go on sale in the fall of 2018.

[Update: Volkswagen is delaying the release of the 2019 VW Arteon. It’s now expected to arrive at dealerships in early 2019.]

Design Highlights of the Volkswagen Arteon

The Volkswagen Arteon is slightly larger than the CC, with a wheelbase that is 5-inches longer, as well as a greater overall length and width. This creates more room for both people and cargo. The Arteon boasts a sportier design as well, with athletic proportions and curved contours. Exterior design highlights include the wide chrome grille, LED headlights and taillights, aluminum-alloy wheels, rear decklid spoiler, chrome window surrounds, and frameless side windows.
