Santa Monica drivers and Volkswagen customers around the world have anxiously awaited the 2020 Volkswagen Atlas release date. It looks like the 2020 Volkswagen Atlas is late to its own party. Volkswagen still can’t commit to a specific date, but the popular SUV crossover will be available sometime soon. In hopes of keeping Volkswagen fans interested, it’s reduced the launching price to around $31,500* and is offering a remarkable warranty to compensate for it. Volkswagen Santa Monica will keep you posted on the 2020 Volkswagen release date, and in the meantime, here’s what we know about it.
2020 Volkswagen Engine and Performance
Although most Atlas trims will come with a V6, the entry-level models still come standard with a 2.0L turbo that provides 235 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. The V6 option is a 3.6L and kicks it up 276 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of rotational force and is available in both front and all-wheel drive. Properly equipped, the 2020 Volkswagen Atlas can tow around 5,000 pounds, perfect for those road trips around Los Angeles.
2020 Volkswagen Atlas Interior
The interior of the 2020 Atlas is spacious and stylish, just what Manhattan Beach drivers want. With more than 117 inches in wheelbase, it’s one of the most spacious models in its class and provides plenty of legroom in all three rows. Even the third row can comfortably accommodate adult passengers. There is also plenty of cargo space for all of your gear. With about 20.6 cubic feet of space behind the rear seats and an overall cargo capacity of up to 97 cubic feet, you can easily stash away all of that camping and fishing gear.
