Refreshed Design for the 2021 VW Atlas
The 2021 VW Atlas has mostly the same shape as the outgoing model, but with a bolder look and almost three extra inches of length. New exterior design elements include the new three-bar grille, redesigned headlights and taillights, and sculpted front and rear bumpers. Additionally, all 2021 Atlas models come standard with LED headlights and taillights.
The 2021 Atlas provides a more comfortable and connected ride with its revamped interior. Cabin upgrades for the 2021 Atlas include an 8-inch Composition Media infotainment system, contrast stitching on the door trim and seats, and a new steering wheel design. The Car-Net system has a new mobile app, as well as a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, with connectivity for up to four devices.
Engine Options for the 2021 VW Atlas
Buyers of the 2021 Atlas have a choice of two sophisticated engines: a 235-hp four-cylinder and a 276-hp V6. Both engines are paired with a smooth-shifting 8-speed automatic transmission. While the 2020 Atlas only offered the 4Motion all-wheel drive system for models with the V6 engine, the 2021 Atlas also offers it for models with the four-cylinder engine. Additionally, the 2021 Atlas provides high-level safety with its wide array of driving assistance technologies. This includes Adaptive Cruise Control, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Monitor, Park Steering Assistant, the Lane Keeping System, Dynamic Road Sign Display, and Traffic Jam Assist.
