Volkswagen Atlas Basecamp Accessory Line Features
The Volkswagen Atlas Basecamp Accessory Line, which is produced by Air Design, incorporates elements from the VW Atlas Basecamp concept model that was revealed at the 2019 New York International Auto Show. All Atlas models can be equipped with the Basecamp accessory line. Features include textured anthracite fender flares with integrated splash guards, a textured anthracite and two-tone silver front bumper guard, a satin silver rear valance with trailer hitch access, satin silver side door rocker panels, and front quarter-panel-mounted Basecamp badges.
The Atlas Basecamp accessory line also includes 17-inch Traverse MX wheels, which are available in two different colors: radiant silver and frosted graphite. Volkswagen recommends pairing the wheels with 245/70R17 all-terrain tires.
Engine Options for the VW Atlas with the Basecamp Accessory Line
VW Atlas models with the Basecamp accessory line offer a choice of two engines. The 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine delivers 235 horsepower, while the 3.6-liter VR6 engine cranks out 276 horsepower. The engines are mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. When properly equipped, the Atlas with the Basecamp accessory line can tow up to 5,000 pounds. With the 4Motion all-wheel drive system, the Atlas with the Basecamp accessory line provides confident traction when driving over challenging terrains.
